Kokusai

Sapporo Kokusai is another resort located approximately one hours drive from downtown Sapporo. Kokusai gets a phenomenal amount amount of snow over a winter and the snow is always light and dry. Kokusai is very well suited to beginner to intermediate skiers and boarders but for those in the know there is also plenty of challenging terrain to be found. On course Kokusai's groomed runs are plentiful and a lot of fun. Given its close proximity to Sapporo it seems Kokusai is the locals choice and because of this it can get a little crowded in the weekends, however like most resorts around the world, go there on a week day and you can have all that powder to yourself and your friends. Kokusai has all the facilities you need including retail and rental shops and a number of different restaurants to choose from.
